This is the public copy of the Terms presented and accepted inside the Reign app. If you have an account, the version you accepted is recorded against it.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing, accessing, or using Reign (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Kandake Labs LLC ("Kandake Labs," "we," "us").
2. The Service
Reign is a personal wellness and weight-management tracking application. It provides tools for logging weight, food, workouts, habits, and (where applicable) GLP-1 injection journals. The App is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.
3. Eligibility
Reign is available to users 13 and older. Reign is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we close it and delete its data. Users 13–17 must have a parent or legal guardian provide consent before the account activates. By using the App, you represent that you meet these age requirements (or, if you are 13–17, that your parent or guardian has provided the required consent) and that you (or, for 13–17 users, your parent or guardian) have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. Your Account & Data
What you log — your weight, food, workouts, journal, injections, lab results and progress photos — is encrypted on your device with a key derived from your passphrase, and reaches us only as ciphertext we cannot read. A smaller set of information is stored unencrypted so the App and our billing can act on it, including your date of birth, biological sex, height, and GLP-1 medication and dose. Your identity (name, email) is held separately from your health data. Everything is encrypted at rest in our backend and in transit over TLS, in addition to the vault encryption described above. We don't sell or mine what you log. Payments run through Stripe, which learns the cardholder's identity; Reign keeps your identity separate from your tracker data. The Privacy Policy sets all of this out in full and is incorporated into these Terms — see section 13.
You are responsible for your data. Your encrypted vault is backed up to our servers so you can reach it from more than one device, but that backup is only as useful as your ability to unlock it. Export your data from Settings when you want a copy you control. To the extent permitted by law, Kandake Labs is not responsible for data loss caused by a lost passphrase or recovery code, device failure, browser storage clearing, uninstall, or any other cause.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App beyond what is permitted by law
- Interfere with the App's operation or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any related systems
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the App without written permission
- Use the App to provide services or advice to others as if you were a healthcare professional
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, branding, content, and the Kandake Labs name and marks, is owned by Kandake Labs LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law. You retain ownership of the personal data you enter. You grant Kandake Labs no rights to your personal data beyond what is needed to operate the features you have enabled (for example, syncing your encrypted vault between your own devices, or sending a lab document for AI analysis when you ask for one).
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kandake Labs LLC, its members, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kandake Labs LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms.
10. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will require re-acceptance within the App. Continued use after acceptance constitutes agreement to the updated Terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. To delete your account and its data, use Settings → Delete My Account. This removes your health records and your encrypted vault from our servers, cancels any active subscription, and deletes your sign-in identity. It is immediate and cannot be undone.
Two things deliberately remain: the record that you accepted these Terms and the medical disclaimers, kept as evidence of what was agreed; and, if you gave guardian consent for a 13–17 user, your email on that minor's consent record. Section 9 of the Privacy Policy explains both.
Reset This Device is a different thing and does not delete your account — it clears Reign from the device you are holding and signs you out, and signing in again with your passphrase restores your data. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any feature at any time, with reasonable notice where practical.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Larimer County, Colorado.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect, what is encrypted and what is not, who else touches your data, how long we keep it, and how to get a copy or delete it. It is part of these Terms and is incorporated by reference. Where the Privacy Policy is more specific about how we handle your information, it governs.
